Brett + Bekka Wedding – Cabo, Mexico

I’ve known Brett since middle school and always remembered him for his smile. Last May, he was a guest at the wedding of two other high school classmates I had the honor of photographing (shoutout to Mollie and Kellen), which was the first time I met Bekka. While I haven’t known her as long, I was immediately impressed by the way she tore up the dance floor! Fast forward a few months later, Bekka and Brett got ENGAGED and started planning their beautiful Cabo destination wedding. We met for coffee to discuss their wedding, and the two shared their plans with excitement beaming in their eyes – this couple is so relaxed and fun, I knew it would be an incredible wedding to photograph (for many more reasons than the stunning tropical backdrops). During their time in Mexico, Bekka and Brett put up with more snafus than any couple should the week of their wedding (like Bekka getting sick and a ridiculous hotel chemical explosion…yikes), but it didn’t stop them from celebrating their union in the presence of 50 of their closest family and friends. After a windy, sunset ceremony (performed by Brett’s uncle) at Sunset MonaLisa overlooking the ocean, with the infamous arch in the background, I stole the bride and groom for some golden hour photos on the beach before we joined their guests for the party of a lifetime! I got to see Bekka’s killer dance moves again and have never seen Brett smile bigger than he did on his wedding day. Congratulations, Sorensons! You’re beautiful!
