Kelli + Kevin Wedding – Chanhassen, MN

Kelli and Kevin had the most BEAUTIFUL day for an outdoor August wedding. The couple said “I Do” to one another in the presence of their closest friends and family, in the gardens of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (such a ROMANTIC venue – their engagement session also took place on the arboretum grounds, see that post here). Even though I’ve photographed several weddings, I love the unique moments and personalities that distinguish one wedding (and couple) from another. For example, Kelli and Kevin had the BEST (and most violent) cake cutting smash-cake-in-your-spouse’s-face I have seen to date – it was hilarious! Kevin’s vows included a line about how his promises to his new bride would constantly change, as their relationship progressed and grew (and both the bride and groom made a reference to the same How I Met Your Mother scene in their vows – how perfect are they for each other?!). I learned that Kevin throws his head back when laughing like his mom (and wipes sweat from his brow like his dad ;)). And I loved the intentional time the couple took to spend together in private.
