Teresa + Brent Wedding – Minneapolis, MN

On April 9, 2017 by admin

Brent and Teresa’s wedding wasn’t QUITE the wintery day they had anticipated. The couple planned for snow and cold – the norm for a February day in Minnesota – and even incorporated beautifully dried bouquets and corsages meant to withstand negative temps.  Instead, their wedding day took place on a sunshiny, 40+ degree day. While there were only tiny traces of melting snow, the couple made do with their not-so wintery wonderland and were all smiles the entire day. They still managed to bring some wintery elements in – with a hot chocolate bar at the reception and all of the tree elements they incorporated (Brent and his dad made the cake stands, I’m seriously impressed). Unpredictable weather aside, I think Brent and Teresa pulled off their unique vision for their wedding – they wanted something a little less formal, where their guests could mingle and have fun. That was accomplished with their reception venue – Lakes and Legends Brewery that served original brews the whole night and had such a fun, urban vibe (complete with twinkle lights and lawn games of all kinds) as well as the delicious finger food and dessert bar available for their guests.

I loved photographing this couple on their special day. They were a cinch to photograph – full of joy and laughter. The toasts were heartwarming, the wedding party made up of their closest friends and siblings, and the couple definitely soaked it all up! Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
